Main Street Rogers 3rd Friday Twilight Walk
May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18, October 16, 2009 4-8 pm; Rogers Historic District
Historic District Merchants will host local artists and photographers,
hold special merchandise sales and fundraisers, community art projects,
Art in the Park displays, and organize entertainment on the Frisco
Stage, in pocket parks and on street corners.
In conjunction with this event, the Historic District merchants are
holding a 3rd Friday Twilight Walk Raffle. Four prizes valued at $100 or
more will be awarded each month with all tickets purchased during the 6
months of the event being entered in the final drawing in October for a
minimum $500 cash prize. The drawings are at 7:30 PM from the Frisco
Stage each third Friday night. Proceeds will be used to promote the
Rogers Historic District. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 and may
be purchased from participating downtown merchants.
Rediscover the Rogers Historic District by visiting during the 3rd
Friday Twilight Walk. You’ll find something for all ages, with great
food, quality art and music and outstanding bargains in the stores.

25th Annual Goblin Parade

Rogers Historic District - beginning in Frisco Park
Main Street Rogers, in conjunction with downtown businesses, presents
the annual Goblin Parade for the children of Rogers. Children in costume
follow a planned route through downtown Rogers and "trick-or-treat"
Historic District Businesses along the way. Parents are encouraged to
bring their small children for a fun way to celebrate Halloween. Safe.

Main Street Rogers Invites you to participate in the 2009 Rogers
Community Christmas Parade Monday, December 7, 2009, 7:00 pm
The parade is traditionally scheduled for the first Monday evening in
December and travels through the Rogers Historic District. The theme for
this year’s parade is “A Dicken’s Christmas.”
Judges will select four first place winners in the following categories:
SPECTACULAR SPARKLES Award - Any entry that
presents an outstanding display of lights and/or other type of
illumination. ELFIN MAGIC Award - An outstanding entry featuring children
as part of the entry.
GLORY OF ANGELS Award - An outstanding entry that illustrates a
religious theme.
KNOCK YOUR STOCKINGS OFF Award - This award is given to the
overall outstanding entry illustrating the parade theme: “A Dicken’s
Christmas.”
Floats and decorated vehicles MUST include lots of
Christmas Lights, as this is a night time event. Walking/Marching units
are also encouraged to use Christmas Lights if possible. Also, for the
safety of small children, please do not throw candy from a float or
vehicle. If you would like to hand out candy, please plan to have
someone walking beside or behind your entry to hand it out to those in
the audience. Main Street Rogers invites businesses, churches, schools,
clubs, marching bands, community organizations, neighborhood groups,

7th Annual Santa in the Park
December 12-13, 19-20, 2009. Friday 5-7pm, Saturday 10am-4pm
Centennial Park in Rogers Historic District on First Street
Santa and Mrs. Claus stop by Rogers’ Centennial Park Friday nights and
Saturdays in December following the Community Christmas parade to visit
and take photos with children. Main Street Rogers hosts Santa at a
specially designed Santa House in Centennial Park, located on S. First
Street in the Historic District. The park will be lighted for the
season. Children may also deliver their letter to Santa to a specially
marked mailbox at any time. All letters will be forwarded to Santa and
copies will be displayed in Downtown windows throughout the month.
